Just bought a SRAM Biplane Jig for £18.
Looks interesting & may well be just the job - I'll post some photo's once it arrives.

Who sells the jig? I hear it's the bomb of jigs.

Rob Stevens at West Coasts Hobbys sells them. He's in Vancouver BC.

You can order with confidence from Rob. I've done business with him for several years.

Looks great for 1/72 1/48. Is it big enough for 1/32? The pics of the 1/48 DH4 has the jig just about at full span. Im thinking it could get fiddly getting struts fitted between the jig uprights and the fuselage on a bigger model. That being said, looks easy enough to build an extended base piece (the one sitting on the white pads.......actually.....might go to the Home Despot .........)

It comes in a small box with no instructions!

I'll put it together this evening & hang a 1/32 off it & post the photo on here.

Well, that was not as difficult as I'd thought!:

Six inch maximum gap between supports - should be plenty big enough for 1/32 stuff, except maybe a Gotha!
I'm going to tape my SE.5a together and stick it on - see how it looks.

Ok, here's my Encore 1/32 SE.5a - nowhere near finished, but the scale is useful:

I love it - it's my new favourite gadget!!!
Get one if you possibly can. They are very well engineered, plenty big enough for 1/32 and adjustable for all sorts. It's a lot more solid than it looks as well, and the screws are well threaded with washers both sides, so they don't slip once set.
This will make rigging far easier - it will even help with things like dihedral s for the wings, even painting and setting decals.
I think I'll add a cm scale to each supporting arm, just to make sure they are the same height, and perhaps some sort of protractor set-up, so that I can measure and adjust the angles of the wings.
Cool!
