Title: WTB 1/48 Belgian Thistle fuselage emblem
Post by: hanriot on May 23, 2019, 11:18:14 PM
Hi.  I'm after the Thistle emblems for a 1/48 Hanriot HD.1, but I suspect any 1/48 Thistle emblem will do.
Does anyone have a spare set they'd like to sell?
I know Eduard did a really nice one with their HD.1.  Smer's effort with their Sopwith Camel, while cheap,  doesn't look too flash.
Cheers

You can try do make it yourself. Paint the fuselage with white, than  print the picture on colour laser paper printer (use special paper for the water slide decals. And than just stick the decal on the fuselage.

Sorry pustota, I'm not quite sure what you mean.  You're saying I should paint white where the thistle goes, then print the blue onto the decal paper leaving the thistle blank and then cover the whole plane in the blue decal with the blank for the thistle in the appropriate place?  ???
Cheers

Almost. Do not cover whole plane with blue decal, just cover the emblem area. The last of the plane paint with  vallejo acrilics. They have many blue shades.
