Thanks Bud for the link, I've added my two cents worth, whether they take any notice or not is another thing.

I've put my suggestions in - basically anything WNW have not already done, so French & Russian subjects!
Quite why WNW insist on sticking to German & British subjects is, I think, to leave the other nationalities to other makers - kind of like a non-competition pact.
Roden need to wake up to this.

Put in my $00.02 worth. Thanks for the heads up Bud.

Thanks for all your input, guys. Hopefully they'll get the message.

Where are Roden asking about future releases? I can not see anything about it in their website.
It seems just personal (dreaming high) wish lists for me, not an specific Roden's research for future releases... ???

Just click on this link and it will take you directly to the correct page.

If you go to the first entry, you will see that it is a request by Andrey, cheif engineer of the Roden team.

Just checked on how the poll was going. People requesting WW1 aircraft
must outnumber all the others by at least 3-4 to 1. That should give Roden
something to ponder.

It is true. I beg that Roden did not leave us in the hands of an unique 1/32 WW1 manufacturer... For 1/48 Their kits are amazing and I have lots of those.
Eduard is leaving us focusing jets and german WW2 also... :'(

Sent my input, such as it was. Didn't have much to add because it's all pretty much been put out there. I did find the requests for 1:72 anything a little troubling, though. Can you believe that there are people that actually want to build those? I thought they were doing it as penance or something. ;)

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed in the 1/48 scalers response, but any vote for WWI subjects is ecouraging. We're doing really well in that regard, so let's keep it up and spread the word.

Reading through all the responses on the Roden site it is quite obvious that 1:32 scale WW1 aircraft are proving to be the most popular choice for new kits. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for Roden and they will step back into the ring and start producing kits that people are asking for, it's great that a company has actually asked what the customer wants.

I just updated my 1/32 list with a new post to Roden asking that these subjects also be kitted in 1/48th scale.
There seems to be a solid and healthy response to Roden's request and bless them for asking us what we want.

Praying for Oeffag Albie. Pretty Please!

Message posted. Nothing new: a decent Sopwith Camel in 1/32nd scale. Probably generate a footrace between Roden and WNW! ;D

Missed this earlier, just submitted a 1:32 Wishlist (starting with a Camel of course)

Who wouldn't take a new 1/32 Camel?!

Ehm... :-X
well, actually (just for the fun of the discussion) I find Camels to be very boring.
I mean, PC 10, engine almost invisible, almost no wood grain, simple rigging, a 'common' overall shape.... not that fun...
I know, I know... I'm in for a fight... ;)
ciao

Never a fight just debate. Im not a huge fan of the type but the more basic the scheme the harder you have to "work" to bring character to the machine. There are also some colourful schemes out there (Cleopatra? - the white one with the blue asp etc) and trainers.

Never a fight Edo! That's the fun about models and discussions about them. We all approach them differently depending on our skill sets and personal preferences. In my case, I sweat bullets when trying to super detail an engine so if it's mostly hidden, I only need to worry about what's visible. While I'm getting better with replicating woodgrain, a little of it still goes a long way for me. I really like the rigging process, but a complicated layout like I see on the Biff, DH2, or Fee, still makes me apprehensive. From my perspective then, what's not to like about the thoughts of a good Camel kit? ;D
Cheers,
Chris

With a Biff to rig in my future a plain old Camel build looks very attractive as a future prospect. There has to be a "silver lining" in everyone's little world, and a nice Camel would fit the bill for me!
Cheers,
Lance ;D

Forget the Camel! How bout a Albatros(oef)? Seriously why not? :P
-
Well, there's always "the" Camel: B7270, 209 Sqn RAF, 21 April 1918, Captain A. R. Brown, Canadian subject... Not going to open the"Argument" yet again, just saying that it's an "historically significant" aircraft! 8)

Gets my vote as well. I have an excellent pile of A/M Decals including 2 schemes for 7270; unfortunately in 1:48 Scale. Does anyone build in that scale anymore?? On the bright side it's a pretty basic scheme however, should a new Camel be released I'm thinkin Rowan will be all over it!
