I'll be joining in with the Bristol Fighter. The Biff was my introduction to Des back on the Aerodrome. At the time, he raved about what a wonderful kit it was and has, since then, repeatedly declared it to be the best WNW kit ever. So, Des, my dear old friend, this one's for you. You sold me on it, mate.

There will be a slight delay in my starting this one since I still have to finish my Nieuports and the Halberstadt that Carol bought me for Christmas. Still, I should be able to finish it by August.

Good luck Bud
This one terrifies me in spite of all of Des' praise. A complicated kit in very good hands!

Des's favorite Wingnut Wings Kit and a very fine tribute Bud.When I built it shortly after joining the Forum Des sent me a series of "PMs" pointing out various potential difficulties and hints, his typical interest and concern for others very apparent. Later we made a habit of chatting on the phone every few months, conversations I shall never forget. I'll be following this Build with particular interest, perfect!
Cheers,
Lance

It’s a beautiful kit Bud.
Des persuaded me to get one too. My Brisfit is still my best & favourite build.
Have fun with this. Will be interested to see what you do with it.

I've seen your LVG, Alistair, and it's magnificent, inside and out. That kit, to me, seems more complicated than the Bristol. I think you would have no problem with this kit, given you talents.

Thanks, Lance! I still have Des' build log from the 'drome saved on my computer and you can bet I'll be referring to it as I go along. I miss him and shall miss his feedback on this.

Looking forward to your treatment on this beauty Bud.

Bud, that will be a great project!
At the moment I'm diving deeply into the details of the Bristol Fighter and I really enjoy the colored picture documentation on wingnutwings.com. Very helpful!

I will be following with interest Bud. Usually you seem to work in 1/48 scale, althpugh your models look more like 1/24 with the details that you manage to put in. This will be a real treat to follow so I have my seat in the front row - centre!
Stephen.
