Hey Michael,
Glad to have another complete amateur. Safety in numbers! You're right, though, this is looking like a great place to take advantage of an incredible wealth of experience.
What are you working on right now?

That's great, Michael. I'd like to do a Nieuport as well, sometime. Maybe a 17. If you can screw up enough courage to post some pictures I'll be forced to post some of mine. I'll show you mine, if you show me yours!
Mine would mostly just be a litany of "why does this look so awful?" ;) Doesn't mean I'm not having a lot of fun, though!
Good luck with the rest of the build.

Welcome aboard Michael. Don't be shy about posting images of your model. It's not that long ago that I started building these stringbags myself and the fellows here are unfailingly helpful.
Cheers,
Chris

cheers guys..
hopefully i will be able to finish the plane this week sometime and i will take a deep breath and post some pictures in the completed section.
Lindsay i agree it's been great fun, mostly :P (steep learning curve, broken parts, lost parts, lack of skill, cack handed, poor eye sight etc etc..... ;D ;D ;D)
p.s. what you working on Lindsay?
-
I'm working on a Roden 1:48 Airco dh4. It looks like my blindfolded two year old put it together, but I'm learning a lot, and having a heck of a lot of fun doing it. Acquiring new skills, learning a bit about history, disappearing into a project unrelated to work for hours at a time...I'm really glad I'm doing it. So far very rewarding.
Good luck with the build,
Lindsay
