I have always been into cars & airplanes, starting the in the early '60's as a little kid, drawing pictures of them & building models. Time went by & I didn't build any models until the mid '80's, when I built a couple WWII planes, then stopped building for another 15 years or so. I got back into model building, but this time it was custom cars. I've been doing that for the past 16 years & still have several projects going on at the moment. Even though I'm generally more of a car guy when it comes to models, I still get a thrill out of seeing a very well done plane, tank or diorama.
I recently started seeing some of Tom Grigat's stop motion videos appear on Face Book & was intrigued. That led me to looking into what WWI kits are available, & found that there are quite a few. Who knows, maybe I'll give one a try. But, I think that I'll have lots of newbie questions. The last WWI planes that I built were in the '60's: an Albatros, Fokker D-VII?, Spad & something else, maybe a Nieuport or Sopwith Camel, all probably Revell.
