Your painting is excellent!

I went for the middle option

I modelled his dog too:

And started a figure of Jakobs to match your first image. I must finish him

Got to love a black 'plane

Really well done DR1! Your subtle weathering of the black is excellent! Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic hand painting skills. This is an awesome devil's head on the fuselage. Jakobs painting sheme is one of my favoured and you did this really fine!

I agree that the painting is very good indeed. The interior details are also excellent and the dog just individualises it. Well done.

I have caused some confusion and need to remove my pictures. The 1:32 DR.I is mine, Von Mertens 1:48 DR.I is the subject of this thread and has the North Wind hand painted on the side

Spectacular!  Far better than any of the decals I've seen for this plane.
Cheers,
Bud

Great overall finish, great details, and superb weathering effects. The painted markings are in their own league, extraordinarily well done. Hard to believe it's in 1:48 Scale, this is very nice work, von Mertens!
Cheers,
Lance

Agreed! Ondra may have made the masks but your hand painting is incredible!

Echo the others, masterly brush painting! But what else would we have expected from and academic artist, right? ;)

I am glad I could help you with the masks. Feel free to call me Harry Plotter. :)

Cheers
