Welcome, AndyW! There is never enough Fee models in the world. Especially black night bomber Fees! And even more especially when they are so finely built! Great model but I would appreciate some more photos.

Those black Fees are so dear to my heart - WNW FE2b is my absolutely favourite model kit, and (even more personally) the one which finally led me to participate in modelling contests and, surprisingly, to some fine successes in them!

All of the above +10. Absolutley love it - a magnificent build. Certainly an aeroplane that I very much like - yours is a gem.

She's absolutely gorgeous, Andy!  I agree completely with Lance's assessment of your engine.  An absolute gem.  Like Prez, the Fee is one of my favorite aircraft and your rendition is superb.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks all. It is not as good in the flesh as it did not travel very well on the way back from a show! The engine is very easy to do. Painted with alclad, I misted the copper, brass, and aluminium over a black base spraying keeping the airbrush pointed straight down over head, varying the angle by no more than 20 degrees or so. This allows some of the back still to show through as shadows. You can also achieve the same effect by drybrushing the top colour. This works very well for crankcases.

When I looked at your first pic I thought, "oh, he's taken a photo of the Fee at the RAF museum at Hendon". It took a while for the penny to finally drop! Exceptionally good work.
