Dear all
I would like to share my build log of the First 1/144 plane of my Life.
It's a Sopwith F.1 Camel from the set in the title.
This and the next ones will be built at a "Wargame" level.
Just to be honest with you ;)

Stage 1
I approach the build.
First of all I cutted all the pieces, then I cleaned them with my xacto knife.

I started paint the internal of the aircraft with a black (vallejo) and a the Seat with a leather Brown.
I also glued the cockpit to its support.
Enough for today

Very Nice start on your Tiny Bird!

Wow, this is Tiny. Have fun building this, I'll follow.
-
Those look like stunning "Little" kits Baracca! A good start and lots of fun! Regards, Marc.
-
This is going to be fun. There seems to be a lot of interest in this scale recently, I find it really fascinating.
-
Don't breathe in too heavy, otherwise you will inhale the parts.
This scale is scaring me. Hats off for starting this one.
Bye, Manni

Thanks all guys
Any suggestions ...it's my First model from years and in assolute it's my First plane

fix wings andtails
before glueing
First error...damn!!!!
I thought the glue was fixed..but not
Stupid me :-X :-X
Before gluing the wings .. I decided to better position the seat and the control panel using the tweezers with the fine points, unfortunately the glue was still very soft and I pushed the pieces inside the fuselage instead of "pulling" them out .
not having any suitable tools at hand, I had to give up and leave things like this.
on the next model I will use a quick-setting glue instead of the blue REVELL with a fine spout and I will arm myself with a thin wire shaped like a hook (in case I have to "pull" the pieces rather than push them)
I learned the lesson
-
Mistakes happen , we all make them ;)
What type of glue are you using ?

Dear Alexis I'm using the REvell Contacta glue ... the one with the fine spout
-
Just a question as to the glue not drying. Did you remove the paint from the surfaces to be glued? This can make a big difference.
RAGIII
-
I have not tried the Revell glue so can't comment on it . But Rick is right if the paint isn't removed on the gluing surface this can slow down the drying time or just not dry at all . Also the amount of glue you add will slow down the drying time as well .
I can recommend Tamiya glues if you are able to get them . Either their Extra thin in the dark green cap or their quick setting in the light lime green cap which dries faster then the extra thin .

Thanks to both of you
It could be the reason of my mistake.
Effectively i painted the piece, then i glue the Seat on mano structure

Your little camel is moving along nicely! I wish I could help you with the photo posting but I download the Photos from My Android to Postimage then upload them here from My Laptop.

Thanks RAGIII
I think i started with a medium level of complexity... Others valom kits seems more "smart"
The build of second Camel was mooooore fast
Any suggestion are welcome

Please re-check the location of the undercarriage legs if possible. The front legs should be just under the firewall.
-
It looks like you figured out how to post good photos! I also think that you should check that landing gear. Could be on reversed, or perhaps just needs to be further forward like stated. All in all looking good!
RAGIII

Glad that you figured out on posting photo's .
I really like the work you have done so far both builds are coming along nicely . But I agree with the others . If you are able to remove the landing struts and place the under the fire wall .
Keep up the fine progress and I look forward on your next up-date :)

I like it , you are doing well so far :)

The brass strut are the most difficult part of the kit... but I’m improving my skills.
Maybe I have to change the glue or the way I use it.. despite the small hole I put to much glue...I thinking to use a toothpick to take the right amount of glue
-
The struts are great. But as you have already said it is a bit too much of glue. To prevent this you can take a sewing needle and cut the upper arc of the hole. So you get a y-shaped "fork" between that you can dip in a small amount of superglue and place it where you like. The hardened excess glue can be burnt easily with a lighter.
You can also take an accupunkure needle, anneal it and bend it to a tiny slope to pick up the glue.
Bye, Manni
-
You are progressing and asking the right questions. I use a needle with the eye cut in half to hold the glue.

Thanks guys...next Planes i built are Better.
I'll post in new thread
