Definitely some tonal variations starting to happen , or is that it?
Dare I say some light blue drybrushing...?
This is why I'm interested to see where you will go with it.

Thinking about the light blue...It did run through my mind  8)

Could be a case for some exemplary double drybrushing.
You know , a medium blue  color with looser parameters , followed by a lighter blue color with tighter parameters.
Even a third with silver and the smallest of parameters.

I have applied the initial coat of PC 10 to the Dolphin. Other than some minor sanding needed where I dropped super glue and didn't notice then touching up all is well. I used DB PC 10 yellow slightly modified to get a slightly more brownish looking PC 10. Next up taping off rib tapes and a little weathering

Rick,
The Sopwith is coming along very nicely!  It'll be striking with those markings.

Just Catching up Rick - you seem to have so many builds on the go at the same time that my head spins......
I have read through this and as per usual you are setting a standard for the rest of us to follow. I also agree with you that sometimes the old school tricks are just as effective (and a lot cheaper) than some aftermarket products.

Stephen.

Looks great -I had my doubts on how the scheme would come together judging from the side profile, but seeing it like this it looks really neat -and that's even without markings :)

Thanks Stephen. So far the sprue interior rigging has worked out well. The wings will be standard Monofilament Fishing Line.

Thanks Jeroen. I find the scheme to be a nice change from PC 10 and Battleship Grey.
