I love watching your builds, Andrew. So far this is no exception.

Absolutely convincing work on the wooden parts.

I agree, the fact that you have two left aileron decals but none for the right side is disappointing. Maybe contacting W and W with this problem might be of any help?

Stefan

First of all thanks to everibody for the nice comments  :D

I'll send a mail to w&w about the problem, but I think that they allready know it , I don't think I'm the first to use their set.   ::)
Anyway they are a very nice product. last night I've applied the top surface decals and they went on very well (pictures tomorrow).

Bye

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

first i wanted to say that it is a pitty that the W&W decals are a bit wrong, but i hope that everything will come just fine.

i just just wanted to let you know that i am on the first row to follow you're build. This is a plane that's also on my wanted list.

very nice work you got theire.

Good luck ;)

Hi!

Small Update.
I've placed the wing top decals and started to add details to the fuselage.

Looks like the decal error was known and they are solving it :

I really like your interior detail work Andrew. Great use of oils. Pity about the decal issue but at least they are addressing it.

Cheers

Hi!

Not much work last week, I've been busy with other things.

I've added some weathering to the inteior.
A wash on the tank and some dark brown added to the borders of the floor.

While waiting for the oils to dry I've started to assembly the MG's. Nice details here, I've only replaced the front of the scope with a brass tube, to have a sharper finish.

Then I've assembled the radio, a very nice nice piece with great decals on this small part (the short side is about 10mm..). It still needs a flat coat.

Finally a dry fit test test. The back wall still needs weathering and other details ( seat, seatblets, ecc...)

That's all. I hope to be able to do more work this week. Smile - :)

Superb woodwork effect Andrew. It's one of the best I've ever seen.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Very nice work Andrew. Your detailing is superb and the woodwork, as Chris said, is outstanding. What References do you have for this aircraft? I'm considering ordering it but other than a decal sheet from Pheon I can't identify any Reference material.

Lance

Hi!

If you can find it there's the windsock datafile 23.
Obviously the reference on the wingnut site and you can find some thing also with a research on google,
and the build on the homepage of this site
But I can say that Just the wingnut instructions are a very good starting point  ;)

Thanks Andrew. The Data File may be hard to find, like most out of print volumes; I'll have to do some searching......
