Title: WNW Albatros DV Alfred Lenz (2020)
Post by: drdave on July 05, 2020, 10:25:02 PM
Reprising a scheme I did back in 2013. Pheon Decals, Gaspatch and Bob buckles, Rexx exhaust, DB Laquers and the figures are CSM and Elan 13. Base is Polak meadow grass.

Really nice Albbie Dave and super job on the figures . I must say that I'm taken by that shade of blue  :)

Thanks Terri. It’s meant to be Bavarian so I used RFC roundel blue by DB.
Forgot to add that it’s a Roden spinner too.

looks great and fantastic finish - don't think I have ever seen this particular one before!

Regarding the Rexx exhaust, do you have a close up of that on the model? It fit ok?

Great job Dave, a very attractive scheme and that blue is indeed "eye watering"! The detail work and rigging are nice and crisp and on second look I noticed some denting or dimpling of the fuselage plywood skin which I assume you added, lovely touch!
Cheers,
Lance

That’s right! Out with the dremel and a polishing stick. Easy to do actually.

Very nice, I like this livery and the extra look given by figures and scenery.

I agree with all that has been written - an oustanding model. Loike Lance I do like the individual touches like the dimples in the fuselage - they make the model uniquely interesting.
