Turkish Albatros D-III 1/32 Roden
«

Hi to all,
After a long absence cause of Covid 19 I am able to stay and seat home workbench to complete some long period projects. Here is first one completed. Albatros D-III(OAW) from Roden kit.
This aircraft evacuated after Armisrice from Palestine Front to Anatolia and repaired for newly refurbished Turkish Air Force. It saw service in Independence War and probably crashed during landing in March 1921. Building straight from box but I need to duplicate radiator as known all Albatroses in Palentine Front and Ottoman Service had double radiators.
I hope you like
Stay at home and keep modeling
Ozkan

That is a STUNNING Build! Everything from paint to weathering and rigging is Superb! You sure did make a winner from what some consider to be unbuildable kits

That’s really a great model, including convincing weathering. Thanks for showing!

Outstanding work!
I am always attracted by unusual subjects, from different countries than "always the same".
Your model is really well built, with added radiator and a good looking wood effect.
Many compliments!

Really beautiful! I assume it is 32nd scale.
This one shows there is WW1 aircraft modeller life possible in the postWNW era - thanks for giving us this hope.

Wonderful work, Sir. And centered on a fascinating passage of history.
I hesitate to ask what scale it is in...?

Nice to see a different scheme like this, and a beautifully finished model. Also a great example of what can be done with Roden offerings, lovely work!
Cheers,

That is first class, and I for on would not have thought that you scratch built the extra radiator. The wood finish on the fuselage is super.
