Yet another very small update. This is slow going with the terrible copy of the instructions I am trying to use for the stencil decals!

Thanks Rick. hard to believe ....... a Centennial Birthday! I'm saddened (and ashamed) to admit it ain't what it used to be. I should have mentioned that photo is from Larry Milberry's book "The Canadair Sabre" and credited to our Department of National Defense.
Cheers,
Lance

As Fredrick has written, that is a really super model Rick.

BTW where is the spare wing and windmill?

Lance,
I think I mentioned this book to you a LONG Time ago. Iam in the process of eliminating stuff from my collection and Library. Thinning the Herd so to speak. If you want the book send a PM. No charge for the book. By the way, it is Hilarious! Written by an RCAF Sabre Pilot!

RAGIII

OOPS, forgot the photo!

(I wonder if JG71 ever painted one of their a/c red just for old time's sake...?)
You know, I've been looking for an excuse to pick up a 1/72 F-86  ;D

Zac, Perhaps a red Phantom would be better  8) Still lots of Lovely schemes for The F86 so I say go for it!
RAGIII
As it happens a 1/72 F-4F (IIRC) recently found its way into my stash...

Love the red Sabres! But when it comes right down to it that airplane would look good in any paint-job.

I agree about the Sabre looking good in any scheme. That being said I think a Bare Metal one in 1/72nd scale May happen someday  8)

The Next to last steps have been done. Oils used to add a Small Amount of weathering. The last step will be a final clear coat and adding the last few parts.

Thanks Ben! I tried a New, to Me, clear coat from MRP, Super Clear Semi Matt. I really like the results. Just leaves a Very Slight Sheen  8) So I am pretty much calling this one done. Thanks to all who followed along!

What a splendid result! It makes ME want to dig out a Sabre from my stash, and there is absolutely nothing like that in there! 😁

I've started to use MRP as well and it really works well!

Cheers
