Wanted: Upgrades for RODEN's 1:48 Junkers D.I. (early)
« on: November 09, 2015, 09:30:56 PM »
Hi, not sure if this is the correct section for posting this: I am currently building the Junkers D.I. (early) in 1:48 scale from Roden. Is there anyone on this forum who can sell me a pair of upgrade parts? I am realy on the lookout for PE interior/exterior and seatbelt-upgrades as well as water-slide markings (as a replacement of the kits decals as I've learned that the kit decals won't conform properly to the waffled texture of the wings) and cockpit gauges. Any info highly appreciated. Thanks!

There is a company called "Part" that does a pe detail set for the 1/48th Roden kit.  I usually order Part sets from Jadar Hobby in Poland but there are other shops that carry this brand.

The part number for the D.1 set is 48152

and the decals that come with the kit dont work great. basically i got them to lay down half way then sliced the recesses with a razor and dosed them with more micro set. this left slight voids which i touched up with thinned acrylic black and white. after coating with clear its not noticeable at all and looks good.
