Hello,
I totally forgot to finish this building report, sorry
Now I will show you the final steps, at first I have built the base for the plane.
I used a shelf that i cutted to the right size and glued a small rim around it on the top side.
This rim ensures that the borders of the grass-mat, that i planned to glue on the shelf, will look decent.
Then I painted all the wood with a brown glaze.
The grass-mat I used is from Martin Welberg, I bought two of his 'rough meadow weeds' and glued them on my shelf without any further modification.
In my opinion those mats are beautiful as they are and so I did no further coloring, i just used a few tufts of grass to smoothen the transition between the two mats.
Nonetheless I varnished the mat with a matte-varnish to remove the shiny appearance of the plastic fibres of the grass.
The last parts I had to bulid were the trestle and the chocks for the plane.
The trestle is included in the WNW kit, and the chocks I made from a small piece of wood, some wire and some EZ-line.
Now I just had to put the plane on the base, and this project was finished.
Thank you for watching my building report, and a special thank you for all the kind comments
Here are some pictures of the completed plane:
