A really beautiful model overall, I like so much replicated plywood on the fuselage.

My apologies but somehow I have missed this. I am becoming increasingly attracted to things on water and this is very attractive indeed. Super finish as usual - the fuselage is particularly striking, but so are all the extra small details that you have so carefully added. A first class model in every department.

A stunning result Fillip - it really has come out superb. The juxtaposition of the lozenge and the wood effect is very striking indeed. I look forwards to seeing it on a base.

A question if I may - was the W4 based on the D1? or were there notable differences?

Congratulations on a great build

Regards - Tug

Many many thanks for your extremely kind words! :) :)
Tug, when it comes to dimensions the D.I was slightly smaller, but the overall idea and the shape of both the wings and the fuselage is very similar.
Best regards
Filip
