Thanks!!!! A little progress tonight. The radiators, exhausts + shutters and the rudder added. Next up; making of the wingstruts with the typical french white bands... that will be a bit tedious, but I think it will be worth the effort.
cheers, Skyhook

Continuing to be a Most Impressive build. The rudder and Radiators look great!

Hi!!!
Thanks for your encouragement
. The top wing is now in place. I made some research and noticed that the pale tapes on the struts were actually horizon bleu instead of white. It is just the orthocromatic film that makes them look whitish in the photos. This was a bit more complicated affair with the the struts. They had aerodynamic fairings at the lower attachements. I rolled little water drop shaped blobs of Milliput and halved them when nearly dry. I attached them first to the lower wings and only after that measured the actual struts to their correct lenght.
The rudder is elsewhere, waiting for a new shade of blue. The first shade was too dark for the french insignia.
cheers, Skyhook

Now the wing sturts are all in place. Also the complicated framework around the engines and radiators... quite a contraption! Next up, the landing gear and cocades etc.

A superb piece of scratch building. This is a product of a master modelmaker.

Thanks!
. Here’s the result this evening... propellers, armament, rigging and some smaller details still to do... so actually quite a lot!
Cheers, Skyhook

This is looking superb, I had never heard of the Letford before so this is also a very educational build for me. Not just about aviation!

I wholly agree with the others - as I wrote earlier a masterpiece from a master modeller.

That's a great build!
All is nice but I like the steering wheel and the french field blue on the undercarriage most, looks perfect! What paint did you use?
Cheers,
Frank
