Fokker D VI 1:48
« on: March 09, 2014, 06:20:44 AM »
It is an old beginning, so we come fast to actually stand, I will start a conservation/ scatch build.
The most of the parts must be cut and sand.
For building I juse the Windsock datafile No84 and World War1 aeroplanes No.85/86/87.
The upper and lower wings corrected, also the tail.
Then the axle for the wheels.
Now beginning to build the fuselage.

Interesting. I initially thought you were doing it the hard way, but after thinking about it for a while, I concluded this is probably better than starting with the old Eduard D.VI kit

I agree with Rob, Martin.  This is far better than starting with the old D.VI kit and you're doing a brilliant job.
Cheers,
Bud

I converted one of these from Revell DR 1 and D VII in 1/72 scale using an article by A. Woolett in Airfix Magazine from the 1970's. It was an interesting build and actually quite straightforward - it was one of the first biplane conversions that I attempted in fact. That was well over 30 years ago and I still have the model which means that it was not such a bad effort. Not as good as your will be though.

Now I have the next one.
1. On the right side I have glue the airpump for the tank.
2. On the engine I glue the spark plugs. They must be dry now.
3. I paint some parts.
4. Glue the two fuselage together.
