That's one great advantage to paper models. You can build them in any scale you wish, within reason. It's usually better to scale a model down than to up-res it, unless it's all in a vector format. Bit map textures will blur if you scale up.
Also, for some reason, common scales in paper are different than in plastic. Plastic will do 1/32, 1/48, and 1/72, while paper will do 1/33, 1/50, 1/60, and 1/100. But of course, as I said, paper can change to any scale with just a quick setting change on your printer.
