This is looking very sharp Ian!  Can you tell me what paint you used on the cowling?  It looks great!  Is it buffed at all?  Thanks.

Regards,

Bob

Thanks all :)

The cowling is Mr Metal Silver Chrome, brushed on and gently buffed...

Did a little more last night, front cabane struts, rudder, control horn rigging etc.  Attached the gun and windscreen.  The ammo chutes don't have a location slot so the fit is a little disappointing - I could have done more work on this had I wanted to spend more time on it.

Wing struts, undercarriage, prop and tailskid almost ready to go. All are ready, just need assembly and touch up paint.  The rigging lines for the wings and undercarriage are already attached at one end.

Thanks Steve :)

This model is now finished :)  I say finished, I mean I have stopped at the point where I am now.  As a "weekend" kit, it lacks some detail.  There are also some parts that are ill fitting, or that ideally need work to provide a smarter assembly - such as locating slots for the ammo chutes, strengthening the rudder attachment, laminating the prop, improving the fit of the wing/cabane struts etc.  All of which I believe I am capable of achieving (now, not a year or two ago) but I have deliberately avoided due to this being a quick build by choice

I knew all along, but I cannot complete a weekend kit in a weekend, to the standard I would want to, even if all the hours I have spent (30+) over the past week were compressed into 2 days and 3 evenings.

Pics to follow tomorrow.  It's too late tonight.

It's looking good, Ian.  As Steve said, the dope contrasts nicely with the cowling.  I look forward to the finished photo's.
