Hi all you veteran modelers.
Coming back to the hobby after many years away and have an old Classic Airframes 1/48 Heinkel He51 b-1 that's been gathering dust. The only real detail on the engine are the 12 "saxophone" shaped exhausts; unfortunately, the kit supplies ones are pitiful. Wanted to build new ones and am casting about for a way to make them out of brass tubing. Harry Woodman suggested using ballpoint pen tubing stretched to shape, but I have a feeling I won't be able to replicate the shape (x12).
Aftermarket kits are nonexistent, though some I have found are reasonable approximations.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
