1/48 DML/Dragon Ernst Udet Fokker D.VII
« on: November 17, 2014, 07:55:13 PM »
Good day!
Fokker from the old DML kit. Kind a old school kit, not accurate but short and pleasant build.
From myself nothing intentionally not corrected only assembled from the box, just for fun. About the coloring of the plane has a lot of controversy, I adhere to the results of the debate on  theaerodrome.com. Replaced air screw on homemade (layered veneer) and decals from Aviattic (lozenge) and Blue rider (insignia). Painted Vallejo, soiled and toned AK interactive. Pics are click-able.
Thank you.

Beautiful job, Pustota!  Really an excellent model.  The
cockpit area is first-rate and the paint work is great!
Thanks for sharing!

You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Absolutely gorgeous, Pustota!  In spite of inaccuracies, the old DML is a very nice kit and you did a brilliant job on it.
Cheers,
Bud

Absolutely Stunning job on this one! You have caught the look of Du Doch Nicht Perfectly! You have also chosen to use the red stripes which I think I will always prefer over the black and white now in vogue!

Whether that is an old kit or not makes no difference - you have turned it into a real silk purse. The colour scheme is most striking too and brilliantly done. Congratulations all around.

excellent build and great depiction of that scheme! I went the same way on my build of this a/c for the colors and like them the best (vs black stripes or a black nose)

A very nice one. This livery makes the ugly plane (sorry to all D.VII fans) looking quite pleasant. Congratulations!
