Not quite 1000 members yet, but Des' main site hit 300,000 visitors last night. Congrats, Des! It's the go-to site for those of our ilk. I thought someone made mention of when your site hit 200k, but couldn't find it. How long has it been? And what's the official forum anniversary date?

We're all fortunate to have a guy of Des' character to facilitate the virtual end of our past time.

Thanks Lindsay, Bud and Gregory, I am very pleased with the result. The official launch date of the website was 10th April 2010. so 300,000 hits in just under three years is quite an achievement for our small niche market.

Looks like I'm teetering on the edge myself. 7 memberships to go and April 27th seems too far off...



EDITED TO ADD A THOUGHT:

Any special consideration to be given to the 1000th member or is that a highly classified secret? Seems it would be too easy for a guest to jump in and yell WHOOPEE !!! at the 999 mark.
