Fokker D.VIII Stripdown
Today I like to show my fourth model of the year a Fokker D.VIII (https://www.eduard.com/store/Eduard/Fokker-D-VIII-STRIPDOWN-1-72.html) of the stripdown Series of Eduard in 1/72. I added a rotary kit from Small Stuff and a self made wooden air screw (yes, in 1/72! )
The paints are from Gunze, Alclad and oils.
For more details you can view a build report (http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=8721.0).
And now have fun with the pictures!
Cheers,
Frank
PS: I forgot to add metal color on the rigging, this was done now.

Beautiful work Frank, what you have accomplished in such a small scale here is most impressive. Congratulations on a very nice model, she's a real stunning example of the "modeller's art"!
One question, what did you use to attach the painted panels to the frame?
Cheers,
Lance

Beautiful trio of stripdowns. Really enjoyed the contrast between the 1/48 and 1/72 D.VIIIs.

Thx!
One question, what did you use to attach the painted panels to the frame?
Lance, the mounting between the soldered and painted sub assemblies was done with small amount of instant glue (cyanoacrylate).
Cheers,
Frank

Sorry I have been away and only just found this. I was following the build log with my jaw dragging on the ground - now it has dropped off completely. That is truly stuuning work - very many congratulations on a first class model.
