Wow!  :o

My thought of making a list of those WNW kits I don't yet have and then getting those same kits needs to get done ASAP.  ;)

...perhaps a "build any variant" deluxe boxing is in the works? Sprues H,I & J  + both motors...

You know these have to appear again in some guise.

We've seen boxings so far of post war Ninaks, Snipes and Bristol Fighters.  Why not post war Fokkers, especially the D VII F model. The Dutch sure used it as did the Soviets in the Russian Civil War and the Poles as well.

It’s ironic that I was going to include a D.VII F in my next order which I intended to place this month but held off doing so just in case there was a tempting ‘Christmas surprise’ which I could include.

Ah well, I’ve got more than enough un-built kits to admire as it is!  ::)

Regards
Russell

I have a Fokker D.VII F on my shelf, but I'm apparently a little coward -  just ordered a D.VII (Alb)  8)

Russell, I'm in exactly that boat! xMas was going to be the post war Biff and the DVIIF to do a Dutch scheme. Christmas has now been ruined, because of selfish modellers and their buying habits and WNWs underenthusiastic manufacturing order.....
i may as well drown myself  in wine now....

Im not an expert, so externally without looking too hard, what are the diffs between the 7 and 7f?  That is to say, which WNW would look closest to an F without being one, if the engine was cowled shut?

The Fokker built one. A D.VIIF is a Fokker-built D.VII with a BMW IIIa motor. Essentially it is otherwise identical to a late Fokker airframe.

THe D.VIIF designation was only applied to Fokker-built airframes. However many Albatros- and OAW-built machines ware fitted with BMW engines as they became available. (these variants haven't been represented so far by a WNW boxing...)
