Title: Fly's Macchi M-5
Post by: Alexis on June 27, 2014, 01:04:15 PM
FokkerJ was asking about Fly's kits and if they where any good . They aren't bad kits really and build up nicely . A few fit troubles here and there . On this build I didn't use the kit's cockpit parts . This was scratched built , even though it is hard to see it . New engine bearers and the engine is detailed with the exhaust tubes cut from stain less steel tubing . Over all a fun build  :)

Wonderful job on a lesser known type. I especially like the detail on the engine - really good modelling.

Terri, Just because you can make this into a respectable build, doesn't tell me that I can!  :(

Just teasing.... This is a Beautiful Job and your input is valuable here. This lets me know what to expect.  8)

Thanks, Jay  ;)

Really like this build of yours, especially the work around the cockpit and engine.
As an aside, I'd love to see more kits available from the Adriatic conflict, Italian and Austrian

Beautiful! The details in the cockpit and on the engine are amazing. I love those Macchi flying boats.
You didn't mention the scale??
