Pfalz D.III - Eduard 1/48

Here, for your enjoyment (hopefully), is my Eduard Pfalz D.III in 1/48 scale. I finished it last year, and it's the first 1/48 scale WWI model I've built in a quite a while. I usually build in 1/72 scale. The decals are a mixture of the kit decals, and those of the Glencoe Pfalz. The checkerboard decal from the Glencoe sheet fit perfectly.
I used Model Master enamels on the model. The silbergrau is a 50/50 mixture of Chrome Silver and White. The rigging is nylon monofilament.
I only just now read about the fuel tank detail on the top wing and how it shouldn’t be there. At least it shouldn’t be there on the D.IIIa, and I assume the same is true for the D.III. I’ll try to remember that for my next Pfalz build.

Beautiful build - your mix of 50/50 silver and white looks perfect.

A truly gorgeous looking model Jimmy, the colour mix you used on the model is superb, very well done.

Very nice, the epitome of the "clean" look and the Silbergrau looks perfect, especially when contrasted with the white tail area.

Beautifully crisp build. The silver really does bring it to life.

As has already been commented, the silver grey finish is just wonderful. Come to that so is the rest of the model. Pfalz machines were very graceful looking - yours is especially so.
