Got this on evilbay for a very good price. I think the seller mis-priced it.
1/48 SBS Caudron C.450 racing plane from the mid-1930's. This is one of the best cast resin kits I have seen.
A C.460, which is a C.450 with retractable landing gear won the 1936 Thompson Trophy - the first and last time a foreign entry won. It was the only year foreign entries were allowed, and it cleaned everyone's clocks.
At 1/48 scale, its very small with a wingspan of just over 5.5".
The interior is pretty spartan, as many classic raceplanes are. The crank on the left side is for the split flaps and elevator adjustment.
One the right side is the throttle and mixture control and a compressed air bottle for operation of the landing gear.
This one is going together fast.
