Greetings!
I was asked to share this, a project I’m really excited about. This is my work in progress IJN Kongō, early 1944. The model is built entirely from boxwood and brass, and measures just a little over 5.5”. The base is spalted tamarind and Patagonian rosewood.
The model is scaled to 125’ to the inch or 1/1500. All told, I’ve made over 2,500 individual pieces of photo etch for this project, including a couple hundred crew figures.

Your work on these ships is outstanding! I must add the Bases on which you mount these Beauties are just as impressive!

Hey thanks! I like to have a whole package when it comes to the base and the case. It’s generally the first thing I build.
