Phew...thought I'd never get it done. 103 hours...too much for an old guy like me, but I'm slow. Hope you like the pics. It's a great kit!...just like all of the WnW stable.

Chuck, that's beautiful. As TRB said, that's time well spent. I'm sorry I didn't grab one of these myself, if they can turn out like that.
Cheers.

Great job Chuck, the result is well worth the 103 hours of effort ;)
It's a pity this model is now sold out....

Chuck,
Very impressive project my friend. Please if you have any more photos of your W.29 project we'd love to see them.

Thanks for all the comments, folks – I appreciate it. Anyway, some have asked for more pics so I included some. I tried some of the engine detailing that Des and others do, but I have a long way to go. I should explain the map decal on the IP was applied to some kitchen foil then cut out and stuck on. Also, the beaching wheels were from a kid’s dime-store Conestoga wagon. This was my second W.29, and it was a real pleasure. I agree it’s a shame they are sold out of this kit – I was going to buy one for my brother – but I suspect they will return with upgrade parts, including a metal-wheel beaching dolly.
Thanks and have a great day, everyone!

Chuck,
You`ve done a lot more work (and of very high quality) in 103 hours then I could even come close to. Great looking model and the engine is most impressive. Makes me sorry I missed this one but hopefully, as you mentioned, she will be back as a super detailed release.
Nicely done!
Cheers,
Lance

A really nice build, I think you captured the beast just about right.
Nice detailing work.
And like a few others I'm miffed to have missed the boat on building this (Too many Albatri options for me...lol)

Yes - fantastic build of a great kit!
I am sure they will release it again - I can't imagine they would only do one run.

Thanks for the kind comments, all.
I think it's almost a sure bet that WnW will re-release this kit. After all, the base kit includes the metal rim wheels and leaf springs already. I can't imagine they'll not do an upgrade, maybe with Christiansen's markings?...one can hope.

SWEET ! i love the engine
