Thanks Guys! The landing gear struts proved to be MORE than challenging. My solution was to use the struts from an abandoned Roden Fokker DVI and cut a slot in the axle wing to accept them.

PS: Here is my assessment. If you have the skills replace the gear struts with tubing. I am still not sure the struts will hold the model once the wing is added. If like me you don't have the skills for metal struts , prepare and use a jig. My main issue was having struts splay in every direction but where I wanted them to go  :-[

Looks great Rick . I wish aviattic would have been around when i built this kit. I used Doug  Baumann lozenge which at the time was the best looking stuff you could get. Especially in 1/32

Rick,
You are doing well working through the shortcomings of this Kit. I'm wrestling with the Mikr Mir version as well, fit issues with the fuselage are driving me to distraction the past few sessions and I'm still not "out of the woods"! Did you have to make adjustments or modifications to get the upper deck metal portion to fit? Mine is a really bad match.
As you have suggested I'm probably going with brass struts for the landing gear and the wings.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Scott! Aviattic has certainly made a very large and very much appreciated difference in our 1/32nd scale modeling!

Thanks Lance! I do not recall any major issues with the upper decking. That being said a look at the Macro Photos show my fit is not perfect! I used the firewall to make sure all of the fuselage was assembled as square as possible. IIRC, the decking fit fairly well once all was aligned to the firewall.

Thanks Rick, I don't have the firewall installed yet (still struggling with the bottom fuselage panel!) and there'll be a lot of filling and sanding generated by that step!
Cheers,
Lance

Great work, Rick.
Sad that the wing will cover most of the cockpit.
