Have not tried them before at all Rick , have you asked Bud ? I tink he use's that paint brand

Alexis

When I looked at Buds work bench a couple of weeks ago it was mostly Valejo and Tamiya...I think... too busy picking MY Jaw from the floor after viewing his Models  8) Ondra uses Drooling Bulldog so perhaps he will chime in!

Here is the result after the Strippers were used and abused. I included the Hisso SE so one can see what the results should look like after the Next PC10 coat is applied.

PS: I used a mix of Tamiya XF62 and XF10 similar to the WNW SE5a instructions. I added a bit of CDL to slightly lighten the mix.

This is looking very good Rick!

What is the width of the strippers?

Thanks Willem. The Strippers I used were 1.5mm. I think Bob does them from 1mm up.

The wing unders look just like I'd imagine an in-service machine to look - well done Rick!

Today I sprayed the second PC10 coat which toned down the tapes to a reasonable hue. I also did the turn around on the under surface of the wings and horizontal tail. Next up is a gloss then decals.

Rick,
Did you mix roughly 50:50, or was it just "mix to taste"?   Beautiful work, as always sir.

WD

PS: Is it even possible to acquire Drooling Bulldog paint any more?  I know he shut the business down per se, but if memory serves, he said to write him is you wanted some mixed up. Apologies for the thread drift.

Warren, WNW called for two parts of XF62 to one part of XF10. I used a lot less of the latter, so the short answer is mixed to taste.
RAGIII

PS: I am not certain about the Drooling Bull Dog paints. In the end I liiked My mix better so I went with that right or wrong  8)

I spent today decaling. I am almost to the point where both SE5a's are at the same point. I had to use a little bit of Tamiya Extra Thin on the W's to get them to conform to the lacing. Other than that the kit decals behaved well! The upper wing roundels are left over from the Encore kit.

Your paint and decal work looks very good, Rick.  You sure know how to work those strippers.   ;D
