This build is getting on very nicely Rick. Very good IP, and in this pic you can really see the woodgrain detail. Looks super!

Thanks Willem! I didn't go too crazy with the wood grain as not much in front of the fabric is visible once assembled  :o

Looks great from here Rick, great job!

Thanks Zac. I did  a bit of work on the engine today. I am not going to detail much as once closed up only the cylinder heads re visible. I will add the piping to the bottom as one can "Just Glimpse" this through the openings in the bottom of the fuselage. I also finished the seat and all is ready to be installed in the fuselage. One note on the engine. It is essential to get the cylinders lined up properly as the protruding head are critical to aligning the engine covers. What is seen in the photo is Not Glued together with the exception of the fuselage halves.

PS: Now I need to Drill some rigging attachment holes prior to further assembly.

I love the instrument panel! The overall effect is just brilliant... and useful tips on getting it all together! One would almost think you've done this before... All The Best! Marc

As always, thanks Zac!

So today I spent a couple of hours drilling rigging holes prior to assembling the fuselage to the lower wing. All is now ready to do the control lines in the interior. The seat is not glued in.

Very nice work on both, Rick! The interiors look brilliant!
There are only two states to be in:  Queensland and blotto.

Today will be the last day of modeling for a little over a week. Going on a Long Planned Vacation to CA. to visit MY Son and Grandkids. Just for Fun and to get more in the Spirit of the Viper SE5a build I just finished reading G-M's book. The cover is very close to how I will do the model except I think I am going to paint the Nose/Radiator Red.

Catching up Rick. The interior details look super - and who would know, leta alone see, if the instrument panel is not quite as per the original. Something in there is better than nothing!

Have a good holiday with your family.

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen! The end of todays session. IP glued on, added a throttle? to the left side of the upper cowl / fuselage inside, rudder and aileron controls etc. Then seeing no reason not to, I glued the upper fuselage on to the lower part.
