Aviattic's Ansaldo A1 Balilla
« on: February 08, 2019, 06:55:21 PM »
Hello Gentlemen,

I found this forum and Des's site years ago and I am frequenting here for the whole time. What brought me and what kept me checking it again and again day after day was the community created, shaped and maintained by Des. His leadership is so strong that we not just continued forward but we were able to continue improve, develop and get stronger with each day. I am missing him, his comments, his advice and his inspirational builds!
Thank you Des, for helping me become a better at this hobby and showing its beauty to me!

I will build osmething that I am just oogling for some time now and don't come to starting it. I was wondering if I should go Taube, but at the end I think this will be better. I am not sure if I will finish it on time, but honestly I just don't care - I will build it to the best of my abilities and see what happens.

Best regards,
Sasho

Wonderful choice, Sasho!  Are you doing the Polish or Italian version?
Cheers,
Bud

Hey Bud,
I am going with the Italian version for sure, I want the darker wood version as this will be something a bit different than my usual honey colour wooden parts.

Yes a great choice and a kit developed with passion by Richard at 'Aviattic'.
A challenge as resin based kits are not everyone's choice, but it will turn out to be a stunning model I'm sure.
I'll be watching your build as I have the kit but haven't started it yet,

Hi Ron,
I should have mentioned your involvement with the 'Ballila'.
Your collaboration with Richard turned out a masterpiece.
It's a shame you don't have the Gotha conversion sets anymore,

Hi!
If you need help in building the kit, I was involved in the restoration of the original one held by the Bergamo's Municipality. I was part of the little team that kept informed the commissioner about the steps of the restoration.
Yes, the kit is a real beauty!
