Hello from Pennsylvania
« on: February 09, 2015, 05:05:42 AM »
Hello all!
My name is mike and im a fairly unprolific modeler or various aircraft generes. Im on a couple forum either under type99 or mrockhill

Ive had an ever growing interest in the great war ever since completeing my first WWI kit, i believe it was an airfix 1/72 albatros d.v in Goring colors, sometime in the early 90s. It remains my only completed WWI kit to date lol.

The fantastic builds ive seen since my return to the hobby in 2008 have rekindled the interest. Currently I have several hangar queens but am currently committed to get my eduard 1/48 Dr.I across the finish line. Looking foward to sharing the hobby with you all!

Hello Mike and welcome to the forum. I've found it a real source of support and inspiration. Good luck with the Dr.I. If you have any questions about the build don't hesitate to ask them. There seem many here only too willing to offer guidance.

Best wishes
Nigel

Welcome Mike, from a fellow Keystone Stater--i'm in Lancaster.  Although I am focused on WWI now, I still like the WWII aircraft as well.  Hmmmm . . . Type 99?  Sounds like a Val to me.  Are you a fan of Japanese naval aircraft from WWII?  I am. ;). Enjoy the forum my friend!

Regards,

Bob

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

Rob, Im also a fan of japanese aircraft, but in this case the type 99 im refering to is the WWII japanese rifle, which ive been collecting now for several years. But like the models I dabble in all sorts of other old rifles.
