Hello Everybody
« on: April 24, 2013, 07:45:39 AM »
I've been lurking on here for a while now and thought it was about time I said hello as there are lots of great tips to be had here and everybody seems friendly.

I'm Tom and I'm from Newcastle in the UK, but I live in Cheshire these days.

Probably like most people here I built plastic kits as a kid before drifting out of the hobby. I got into r/c flying, which WW1 subjects are perfect for, 1/4 scale Sopwith Pup and Fokker Dr.1 being my favourites. Then I did some full size flying but never did get my PPL.

Last summer I bought my first plastic kit for at least 15 years on a whim - I've since discovered Wingnut Wings and am here to stay - WW1 stuff was always the most interesting.

If I can get the pictures to embed properly, here is the latest kit I've managed to finish, my first ever using an airbrush.

Cheers.

Tom

Welcome to the forum, Tom.  Very lovely 110.  I look forward to seeing how you apply your clearly considerable skills to a WNW kit.
Cheers,
Bud

Welcome, Tom!  I don't know whether your pic server offers the option, but the "<a ref" tags don't work, if you use the ones that are coded [img.... in square brackets the photos should post properly. I think it's the difference between a direct link and html link, whatever that means.

That's better, photos embedded properly now.

Thanks for all the kind words, I'll post some Pfalz D.IIIa pics in a couple of weeks when I get home from work. I hope you all enjoy them.
