RAF 1a/Renault 70hp
« on: July 22, 2013, 11:40:15 PM »
I am trying to obtain a couple of resin engines for a 1:72 BE2c and BE2e. Are there any huge differances between the Renault and the RAF 1a, or could I get away with using the same engine in both?

Thanks,
Ian

Oh   o!

I don't know what kind of answer to give IanB!

Shorter answer: See for youself

RAF1 engine

Renault Engine (this is the 80 one, but not quite a diference between 70 and 80)

How's your french?

Do you want the loo.....ong one answer (technical one) from Airplane Engine Encyclopedia back in 1921?

Cheers

Merci bien, Zabu!
Is there a photo missing from your post? It looks like you tried to post a pic of both the RAF1a and the Renault, but there is no RAF 1a....
Thanks also for the brochure. My French is not very good, but I can understand a lot of it - and I have a cousin living in France who can help there!
