Title: Internal Metal Tubing
Post by: Ryan on May 10, 2018, 12:52:45 AM
Is there a set up or jig to make these joints look right using styrene rod.

The Roden 1/32 Schuckert's internal Z shaped structure is poorly rendered, so I figured I would scratch the effect.

Any tips on cutting rod at an angle or other techniques.

Thanks,
Ryan

Draw the layout on paper.
Learn how to 'fishmouth' the tube or rod ends , any number of ways to do this.
Its not hard once you understand the procedure.
I would do the perimeter tubes first , then fit the inside pieces.
Side frames are usually first with crossmemebers fitted to suit.
Good luck!
