Very very fine. Great, not exaggerated weathering effects, sharp colours borders on the Junkers sheeting, top class.
-
Very nice work indeed, I'm very impressed at how quickly you got this one done while still maintaining such a high standard!
-
Beautifully done, Gary! Thanks for sharing!

I enjoyed following your Build of this one Gary, you've done a really superb job on it. The finish is very impressive, as mentioned the weathering is effective but not too heavy and your detailing adds a great deal to the overall impression. Very nicely done!
Cheers,
Lance

Well done!
You have inspired me to crack open my D.1. I might actually finish it!
Cheers,
Bob :)

Lance is in Danger of becoming the "4th Amigo" as I seem to be agreeing with him quite frequently 8) Loved following your build and I absolutely agree 100% with Lance!

Well done!

Well, you nailed it!!
I think you did an amzing job with the black paint, so hard to get that right. Just the right amount of wheatering to me and also very subtle with the metal finish, not too bright but enough to show the metal character of the original.
Well done, a great inspiration for mine (arrived this morning!! can't wait to get it started)

Beautiful rendition of what I think is a real gem of a kit, doing mine right now too and your build is rather inspiring.
-
Stunning job, Gary! I like how you did the black fuselage. Nice tonal variations.

DAMN, I like it. I really like that build. It actually looks very fine. We once had a Bundeskanzler who said: "I don't give a f*** on what I said yesterday" (he in fact used another language, but I think you got the point) and the longer I look at your and Justins builds of the D. I, the more I think about following Mr Adenauer in that point and buying one of that lousy Junkers D. I....

A very purposeful looking machine and a great build!!

Congratulations on a great build.

Hmmm, maybe these D1s are more attractive than I thought
Nice build, thank you for sharing

All these D.!'s already built and I haven't even opened the box and fondled the plastic, yet. Yours looks amazing; while the aluminum ones really neat, WWI aircraft just doesn't seem right without paint.
