Max Holtzem's Pfalz D.IIIa: WNW 1/32
« on: December 07, 2012, 03:24:42 PM »
Okay, I overlooked this one when posting my completed builds.  My first WNW kit!  My daughter liked the cover art, so that's the scheme I chose (I have another with decals for Rudolph Berthold's Jasta 18 machine).  This was an OOB build with Bob's Buckles and monofilament for the rigging, and the kit was a pleasure to build.  A very smart looking aeroplane!  I hope you like it.   (I just got Photobucket up and working agan, so I wanted to post something.)

Thanks for looking!

Regards,

Bob

Wow, Bob!  How did you manage to overlook this gem?  She's absolutely stunning.  Your daughter has excellent taste in aircraft schemes.
Cheers,
Bud

Beautiful job on this one Bob. I was considering this scheme however the Decalling scared me off; certainly no room for error. You've done a great job on that, well done and congratulations on a very nice model.
Cheers,
Lance :)

Great build, Bob.  What paint did you use for your silbergrau?  I always have a hard time making it look right.  You nailed it.

Thanks guys!

Tim, I simply followed the instruction booklet for silbergrau: 2 parts Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum and 1 part Tamiya XF-19 Sky Grey.  It seemed to work pretty well.

Bob
