lozenge decals... edge work

The big question for me is: what is/are some ways to handle the leading and trailing edges of wings with lozenge decals? The L/E seems pretty straightforward- adjust decal to achieve a straight line at midpoint of radius. How about the trailing edge?

For scalloped trailing edges I first trim with a sharp blade perpendicular to the wing surface, then use a fine sanding stick.

I find wrapping rib tapes around the wing edges (to cover top/bottom lozenge joins) quite tricky, especially around the ends!
