Looks real fine Terri. Seeing what you went through with it has been an inspiration to me and kept at least one stalled project out of the bin :-)
Congratulations on a truly fine bit of modeling.

Awesome results from a kit that challenged you to bring out the best in it...and you! Loved following your build!

Excellent result T. Congrats on bringing it successfully home.
Like you I found this kit a real pig and also was just glad at the end to get the damned thing finished. Ace.

Not bad at all 8) The unusual subject and finely done - one to adorn the collection for sure.

Finally!
Great effort and to me a great result! Not every model can be the best ever, but they can still be satisfactory in a number of different ways.

Thank you all for the very kind comments :)
Yes , even though if put up one hell of a fight a lot of that was caused by me as soon as the sanding stick hit the interior thinning it out ...
When the error in the left side wing root was finally notice I'm glad that I corrected that even though I had to re-sand things down and raid the spare decal box to get back on track , it turned out a little better then before .
Will have a few shots up later this evening .

Lovely result Terri! I'm amazed that you can keep so many projects going at the same time. ;D Very well done!
Best regards,

Even if you are say that this is not your best - it is clearly a Pfalz Dr.I So mission accomplished! 8)
It is a nice looking model, but like Ken I hope for a charged camera battery soon for more pictures.
I'm allowed to dream? A plastic kit in 1/48 of this bird!
Cheers,
Frank

Great to see this bear wrestled to the ground, Terri!
Excellent work.

After your trials with this model Terri, you finally got a superb result! It's just so different and modern looking... Well done! Marc.
-
That turned out beautifully!!!
-
That is very different Terri, and for that reason alone it was worth completing. Looking from where I am sitting I see a really good model and certainly one I would like to have in my display cabinet. That it caused you some grief is all the more reason to be proud of finishing it.
Stephen.

You guys sure know how to make a lady blush ! . Thank-you all for the kind comments it really means a lot . 8)
Frank , a new tooled injection kit in 48 scale would be the cats meow , the subject does have interest .
Batt's are charged so as requested a few more pic's of her ...

That is one gorgeous looking model, Terri. I'm very impressed with how it has turned out. Very unique subject indeed, too.
Congrats on completing a very interesting project.

Beautiful work Terri on a not-so-easy kit!
She's an oddly attractive bird, that Pfalz... :) I have on in the stash which you've inspired me to move up in the build pile.

Thank you Gary and Brad for checking her out and leaving kind comments :)
Well Brad , when you decide to start building yours I do hope you do a build blog ;)

Hi Terri,
That was certainly worth the effort. Well done!

Thanks Dan ;)

Outstanding Terri: Glad you stuck with it. It's a rough kit and you made a silk purse out it. It looks like a cross between a Siemens Shuckert and a Pfalz D.III with three wings. I guess it's that unique cowling that gives it that look. Really outstanding Terri.
-
Thanks Mark !
It does look like a cross between a SSW D.III and Pfalz D.III ;)

Nicely done, good to see it finished !

Thanks Ed :)

Good to see this one is now completed, sure took some extra effort to get here! :)
-
Thanks again Jeroen , sure tested my skills and nerves !

Thanks for the additional pictures, T. I do enjoy looking at them.
The rudder and fin remind me of that on a Beechcraft Staggerwing. It seems unusual for the middle wing chord to be so much smaller than the other wing chords. Overall, a very cool looking craft.
-
Exactly right on the rudder. I could never put my finger on it until it was mentioned, but that does look very much like a Staggerwing's rudder.

Congrats on finishing this difficult kit, Terri, well done!
-
Thanks guys !
You are very welcome Ken , glad you enjoy them . :)
Now that you both mentioned it ...the rudder does look like a staggerwings :)

Great job, Terri!

What an elegant little aircraft Terri, lovely to see you get this one over the finish line.
Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks Gaz and Dave :)

I somehow missed this until now Terri, it's a real beauty! Although it fought you right to the end as you say you've finished it very nicely. A unique and attractive model, lovely work!
Cheers,
Lance
