Hi all,
I recently became a member and felt I should say hello. Much of my childhood was spent modelling and, after a twenty year hiatus, recently had a relapse when I tried to introduce a new generation to the hobby. I’m a member of another modelling forum, but got the impression that the early decades of aviation do not generate so much interest there, so I was happy to find this forum (via Des Delatorre’s fantastic Macchi M5 build log I might add - I was scratch-building one of my own and got much help from that). I will probably be not very active while I finish the last buildlogs I’ve started there anyway, but hop to contribute in the future. Mentally, as well as spatially, I’m stuck with 1/72 :)

Busy re-watching The Bridge (Bron / Broen) on BBC iPlayer just now so I feel I should be able to say hello to you in both Danish and Swedish but the best I can do is a sort of "Hey"!
Welcome

Welcome to the Forum, torbiorn. You'll find lots of company in the realm of 1:72 Scale here, we have numerous Members working in, as you folks call it, "god's scale" or the "true" scale. The Macchi M5 is a beautiful subject, can you publish a few photos of it?
Cheers,
Lance

A very warm welcome from a fellow Scandinavian, Torbjørn! Another Viking?

Sounds good - I see that 1/32 is maybe most popular here. I’ve tried that too, but think I’ll leave it for later.
Sure I can share some pictures, although I prefer quirky designs the Macchi M5 is so elegant I couldn’t resist. On a half-finished base:

Welcome Torbiorn, that's an impressive model, scratchbuilding in 1/72 sounds like quite a challenge!
Cheers,
Dave.
