Hi, everyone. I'm new to the WWI era, but have been building Pre-WWII, WWII, and later aircraft for many years now. I'm currently building the ancient Revell 1/28 SPAD and 1/72 Sopwith Triplane, and have a few other, more modern kits waiting.

Welcome aboard Joe, the transition to WWI should be very easy with the expertise and atmosphere here. I'd enjoy seeing some of your pre-WWII Builds here, a fascinating era of flight and no shortage of truly beautiful machines.
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Lance

Welcome Joe! Good to have you on board. I don't think you have picked the easiest kits to start with - but there's lots of helpful advice and help on the site! Regards, Marc.

Well, Marc, the SPAD was chosen because our club is doing a group display of the old Revell kits. I figured it couldn't be any more difficult than a vac T4M-1 torpedo bomber or resin F6C-4! Just building it pretty much OOB, except I'm planning to use wire for the rigging. I'll be putting a set of Copper State decals for Rickenbacker's #1 on it.

For Lance and Ian, I'll put a link where you can see some of what I've recently done. I tend to put photos of my completed models in albums on my facebook page, then link to that. I have the last 6 or so years of completed models out there and accessible this way.
