Hi friends!
I was experimenting with resin water medium and I was completely carried away...
So, afer a fiew experiment, I was ready to try something bigger...well, do not expect too much, it is only a 1:48 Handriot float plane by Eduard, but I never attempted this before... so, I hope you'll like the result, next time open waters... or a stormy sea... seems like the mairmaidens have a hold on me! :o

Terrific results. If I ever try something like this I hope my first results are half as good!

Beauty Edo, congratulations.

Beautifully done Edo - having just tried my hands at replicating water effects for the first time, I can definitely say you've done a magnificent job!
Cheers

thank you guys!
on a second thougt, I should have left the resin more transparent: i just added a drop or two of tamyia blue and i almost lost all the shades i painted underneath....
well, time to improve....

Great work Edo!
I know how difficult it is to make water look realistic. As you have said, make more water transparent. You can also dab some of Vallejos' Water effect (2-3mm) to add a lot of depth to your sea.
The positioning of the plane and the jetty is great, too it makes the scene very interesting.

Very nice!!

Hello
A very nice diorama, the water is very realistic.
The Hanriot is very well done too.
Congratulations

Nicely done on all aspects Edo. I particularly like the wood dock, it looks very "real". The plain finish on the Handriot is very fitting as well, and the whole scene very eye catching. Your water is excellent; dark and almost threatening, which matches the mood of the grey aircraft and choppy surface.
Nicely put together!
Cheers,
Lance

Very nice scene, I never tried to make water but I think it isn't an easy task at first shot and this looks very good.

A nice looking diorama. Like others have said, the dock really sets it off.

This is a very nice looking dio, with the wood of the jetty, the water and the Hanriot biplane! And not to forget the sailorlike coiled ropes ...
I really like it!
Is this the recently released (March?) weekend edition? In this case your speed is even more impressive!
Cheers,
Frank

Hey guys and girls!
thank you for the nice comments!
Frank, yes, it is the we edition recently released, but I actually did’t put too muche effort in it as I was particularely focused on the water ;)....

Beautiful job, Edo!

Looking at this I am surprised that you did not put too much effort into the aircraft - you could have fooled me! The water is very good - the more so for a first effort. Th dock platform is also realistic and the taught rope holding the aircraft in place gives the impression of movement in the water. In all an excellent diorama.

thank you Stephen and Bud!
I am happy you think water tourned out good... i find it is a great point of attraction for the eye and adds interest to a model.
and it is also fun to model.... :)
still need to improve it a “bit”, but i’ll definely use it more!
