I'm glad the repair job on the silver turned out so beautiful Rick.

I think you could well do without another mishap. You've already had your share the past year...

I miss a couple of days and a beautiful parasol appears! It reads as though you are making a scratch build here Rick - adjusting the lower wing to exactly fir the upper one. I am sure that your revised plan will work - guess why I am so sure - and it does add extra interest to a build when a challenge has to be overcome.

Wow, you made a great progress here! I like the copper oil tank.
The alu shade on the wings looks nice!

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Frank. The Old Floquil paint does look nice, IMHO. This one is on hold until I get some masks!

I haven't been totally idle on this one  8) Cowling, engine, and aileron control rods are installed. Waiting on masks for the BAT and roundels.

Have you been able to work out the lower wing placement yet ?

I think so Alexis. I won't know for sure until I can permanently glue the struts in place. I do have a backup plan just in case  ::)

Well it has been a while since the last update. I received the Masks I was waiting for, Thanks Fredrik! I wasted no time putting them to use. All I need to do now is a bit of touch up and paint the shield on the upper fuselage.

PS: The real test will be seeing if I can get the lower wings on and attached properly  ::)

Looking really elegant Rick, love the silver dope scheme. You'll definitely get the lower wings on just fine. Well I'm confident anyway! :)

Great, Rick

Models always seem to come to life once you put the markings on.

I'm crossing my fingers for you on getting the lower wings on

Regards

I completely agree with Richie: the finish is simply super. As for the wings - they will go on to help complete another first class model from your workshop.

As usual, outstanding modelling Rick!

I'm always amazed by the tempo with which you build and yet maintaining this high standard.

Your completed models must take up a lot of shelf space by now.

Any chance of posting some overview pics of them?
