She is finally finished . I could have had this done a loooong time ago , there was days I didn't even do anything and other days just didn't have time .
Only details added are for the rigging turn buckles , bungee cord for the alex, rad and fuel lines . It was a nice enjoyable build and I didn't chicken out on the rigging . Lately I 'm having a fear of it which is highly odd with the amount of bi-planes built over the years so it feels nice on getting the mojo back .

Wow that turned out well indeed Alexis! Ever since I saw the Blue Max as a kid I've had a thing for this aircraft - and you've really made this kit come to life as a beautiful replica. Congrats to you on your lovely model.
Cheers,
Gary

Beautiful model, the lovely subtle paintwork and markings suit this most elegant aircraft very well. Congratulations on another superb build.

Thank you for the positive comments :)
Gary , I can remember sitting on my Dad's lap watching this movie with him when I was a little girl and I was drawn into the aircraft and was hooked form there . Happy memories :) :) :) :)

Really nice Pfalz. Clean build and subtile weathering. Still on my to do list.

That is really super Alexis. A very graceful aeroplane in very attractive colours. An interesting and informative build log too. Good news that your rigging mojo is back as it is essential for those of us who build models of real aeroplanes!
BTW taking you time on a model is not a problem as there are no deadlines to keep, even in a GB!
Stephen.

Stonkingly great work on your Pfalz, Alexis.
Lovely neat, clean finish without going over the top on weathering - well done!
Regards
Dave
BTW - I totally understand your feelings about the rigging - not my favourite part of the build either. I now have this kit in my stash so will probably be getting some advice tips from you when I get round to it if you don't mind?

Gorgeous Pfalz! I need to build one of these someday.

Great to see this Pfalz so finely finished. And rigged! Step by step, I hope you will regain confidence and fun in rigging! :-)

Thanks Marc and Prze ,
I have the urge to finish off the Pfalz D.VIII now so in the next few days this one should be wrapped up ;)

Beautiful model from a beautiful plane. Like that subtle weathering and a base is allways a plus.
-
Thanks Matti !
I made the base years ago , but I'm thinking about doing something a bit bigger .We shall see :o

Alexis, that is a nice D.III ! I like this beautiful model.
Eduards D.III is not often seen, most of the kits are D.IIIa.
Need also to add one to my D.IIIa models.
Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Frank :)
I'm surprised that you don't have one in the stash ? !
Alexis

Yes, unbuilt in stash (a dual combo box) - but I need to build one for the cabinet!
