I'm looking forward to seeing a build log on the Camel Mike.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Finally I have purchased 1:32 Albatros D.III! I plan on converting it into a Oeffag 253 series aircraft. Not sure which prototype I will pick. This doesnot mean switching scales. Still acquiring A-H subjects and German two-seaters.

UT, That is just a stumper. USPS can't find a semi-large box from NZ?
Chris, When I get to it, I'll be sure to put up some pics.

Just a quick one- today I picked up my WNW "Duellists" combo and J.1 kits.  I ordered them on Monday night, so was very surprised and pleased to see the pick up slip when I got home.  Got to the post office just in time and have already drooled a little on the plastic.

Dal- chuffed to bits.

I've the duelists coming... when is a guess.

Three times I've ordered from WNW, once took 3 weeks, once took 6 weeks and left me Rumplerless for Xmas and the first took over two and a half months and only appeared with the help of WNW themselves to track it down (it was in the UK in under 10 days and sat somewhere the rest of the time. All shipments got to the UK in good time in fact, Parcelfarce on the other hand took ages to get them to my local depot where I had to go to pay to get  them off them.

Now unless its a new issue I order from Hannants, pay a bit extra but have in in my sweaty mitts in 2 days.
Never too old to learn sumfink noo

Well, I threw this out a page ago, but I did recieve my Sopwith in 1/8. It is a stunning kit, and I'm still a little in shock that I actually traded for it.( or - was able to!)
I added an Eindekker too, and should see it in a week.

Arrived early last week- Roden 1/32 Albatros D.III and Spad VII.    I'm glad I ordered them before I started fighting with the rigging on my Pfalz or I may have changed my mind.

That's 14 WWI kits in the stash and three weeks until I leave Defence, to go into semi-retirement.  Methinks I've timed it well!

Cheers.

Dal;
Careful of that term "semi-retirement". I 've been semi-retired for almost 5 years now, and still seem to be working more then I'd really like to....good luck with that concept, sincerely!
Cheers, and congratulations on the Milestone,
Lance

G'day, Lance.

For at least three months I can only work 10 hours a week, so that puts a nice, safe limit on what time work can take.  It doesn't, of course, include whatever chores my lady has in mind.....

Actually, that's a good point.  I seem to remember her saying something about the roof, gutters, front yard, trimming trees, something about the side gate, "house husband" and a few other things (I was in "Yes, Dear" mode at the time and not really listening).

Nah, that wouldn't happen.  I told her there was a group build on.

Dal.

Whoops! I did it again. This time Encores Albie 2, WnW sprues, metal strutz and landing gear for the Albie 3.
My predictions for December 2012 are: the Aztec Calander is correct and the world will end if I do not obtain WnW Junkers J.I.
That's all folks, there's nothing to see here, move along.

I've just ordered WNW's early Eindecker.  It should be here in about a week, along with Windsock's Eindecker Compendium 2 and the Eindecker Windsock issue.

This will be a learning experience for me, being my first WWI kit since I was a kid.  I figure it'll be a good kit to learn on, having only one wing and not too much rigging  :o
