Watching beautifully made by Dirk model Fokker E.II I wanted to have the same ;)
Unfortunately, in my stash was just an old set Revell 1/72, I can try to do something with it, even though I know it will not be easy ???
I want to make a plane flown by Ernst Udet winter 1915-1916
This is the whole cockpit by Revell ;D

I made a box to hold empty cartridges and shuttlecock.

Wow, Jacek! That control column is amazing, especially in 1/72 scale. That ammo can is brilliant, as well.
Cheers,
Bud

Nice choice Jacek.
About that old Revells model... a few time ago i started a Fokker E.I from HR Model, a resin one, but the errors and the detail of the model... or better... the lack of it, made me put it aside. I was lookink for an easy build!
To see Fred will to go back to his Albatros , Dirks Fokker and now yours made me want to go back to it! So i'll thank you gentleman for that.
Cheers.
P.S. - Now... where did i hide it?? ;D Still raging with myself for that! ::)
-
Very Nice start on that Old Classic! Seeing your beginning I am sure you will turn it into a Masterpiece!

Very nice Jacek, should be a little stunner when it's done!
This was the first kit I built when I decided to get back into modelling about 2 1/2 years ago - I now have an Eduard Profipac one which will eventually replace it in my collection - the comparison should be interesting!

Painted black belt and aluminum sheets . I have yet to paint squiggles, but how?

I did compass :
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Fokker%20e3/DSCF0015.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Fokker%20e3/DSCF0015.jpg.html)
-
Wow...very nice compass! And the averall painting it's amazing Jacek.
About squiggles... i painted them randomly with gum metal color not taking to much paint in the brush (i didn't want any paint bumps in the cooling) and then after the paint dried i used the dry brush technique with silver color to soften the colors a bit.
You may see how it look in my presentation thread, there's a Fokker E.III there. Anyway that was me! Maybe someone may tell you other way of getting those done.
Cheers
-
Jacek,
Absolutely beautiful work my friend. Your painting skills are very impressive.

I painted with a brush no. 00. It came out a little resized, but finer I was unable to.

-
Hey Jacek, it's looking great to me. Wasn't to hard was it?
If you feel that they are oversized you may try to dry brush a little more.
Nice update!

I remember when this model appeared... and you are making it into a small masterpiece. Your cockpit details are amazing and the painting is of the very highest standard, including the metalwork on the nose. This model will be a winner when it is finished.
-
Outstanding Jacek! Very nice indeed.
I think I would have replaced the undercarriage with thinner plastic rod, but other than that I couldn't hope to equal this!
Ian

She's really shaping up beautifully Jacek!

Beautiful plane Jacek. You even made eyelets for the rigging. They must be very small. It is sometimes difficult to realise you are looking at a 1/72 model.

Incredible workmanship in a small scale Jacek, the rigging is amazing and you have done a great job with the engine cowl swirls.
